Lease-specific rules

• A successful claim terminates the lease without early-termination penalties in most states.
• Some notices run to the manufacturer AND the lessor (New Hampshire is explicit).
• Never stop lease payments over a defect: in New Hampshire and Vermont, stopping payment can forfeit the remedy itself.
• Iowa prices the use deduction off the lessor's actual lease price plus 2% of the purchase price.
